GOV DICKSON COMMENDS CHIEF JUDGE OF BAYELSA STATE

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has commended the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Kate Abiri for her steadfastness in piloting the affairs of the State Judiciary for the admiration of all.

Speaking through his Deputy, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (rtd) during a dinner party as part of activities marking the 2013/2014 legal year at the Banquet Hall, Yenagoa, the governor noted that, Justice Kate Abiri’s out-standing qualities are exemplary hence, the programme attracted Chief Judges of other states to attended this year’s legal year ceremony in the state..

Governor Dickson expressed appreciation to the visiting chief judges, pointing out that, what they have seen in the state in terms of development is the emergence of the new Bayelsa. .

Governor Dickon also noted that there is a cordial working relationship between the executive and the judiciary hence all the needed support will be accorded the judiciary to enable it effectively perform its constitutional role..

In her remarks, the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice Kate Abiri thanked the state government for her kind gestures towards the Judiciary, pointing out that, the Legal Year programme was made possible due to the robust support by the state government.

Justice Abiri further informed that, the existing cordial relationship between the Executive and the Judiciary will be sustained to move the state to an enviable height.

Also speaking, Justice Emmanuel Ogola commended Governor Seriake Dickson for his kind gestures towards Judges in the state, stating that, during the governor’s tenure as Attorney -General of the state, he enhanced in the procurement of Prado Jeeps and now as governor, he has also provided Ford Explorers Jeeps for judges, thereby providing a conducive working environment for judicial officers..
